Some people think that it is important to use leisure time for activities that improve the mind, such as reading and doing word puzzles. Other people feel that it is important to rest the mind during leisure time. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

People have different views about how to use their spare time in the right way. While some people believe that they should spend their spare time enhancing their mind, such as reading books and doing word puzzles, others think that leisure time should be allocated to the relaxation. From my perspective, I advocate for two statements due to the following reasons.

On the one hand, there is a variety of reasons why using leisure time for improving our mind is essential. Firstly, reading and doing word puzzles are mental workout exercises that can help people build up mental stamina and increase brainpower. As a result, they can develop their intelligence and quickly adapt to working or studying pressure when some unexpected things occur in their life. Secondly, maintaining reading or doing some mental activities in leisure time can take up a good habit that brings more advantages to works or schools. Indeed, people can broaden their horizons and keep up the latest news in the world so that they can develop other skills.

On the other hand, there are some supports for using spare time for rest. The main reason is the overload work. This can be explained by the fact that some workers have been working more than eight hours per day, thus they are usually in the state of sleep insufficiency. Therefore, they should spend their spare time on sleeping. Moreover, it is obvious that in the present day, as the ratio of fatalities caused by suicide due to mental problems is accelerating, it is extremely crucial to rest their mind during leisure time to mitigate this issue. Spending on doing some activities for entertainment can give them a sense of optimism, so they have positive attitudes and enjoy their life.

To recapitulate, this essay discussed both sides of the ways people spend their leisure time improving their brainpower and bringing happiness for their life. In my opinion, I am in favor of both of these aforementioned statements.
