Air pollution is one of the largest problems the world is facing today.
What are some causes of air pollution and what measures can be proposed to solve this problem?

Although infrastructure and provision nowadays have been known to develop significantly, they lead to plenty of types of pollution. Among them, air pollution is considered one of the most major factors which contribute to have extensive influences on natural environment and human society. This essay will discuss the causes and solutions to this problem.

Most of the reasons stem from human activities. First and foremost, fossil fuel combustion is what people are most concerned about. Power plants, manufacturing facilities and means of personal transport are believed to be environmentally friendly designs, but they have exhausted a large amount of greenhouse gas to the atmosphere. Second of all, the side effects of cultivation bring about a threat to the wholesome climate. Agricultural chemicals, including many poisonous components such as pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers emit air pollutants considerably. Finally, deforestation for crops or construction holds no fewer impacts on the atmosphere. Plants and trees are well-known about the capability of refreshing the air by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. When they are cut down, this process cannot execute and the air will be more and more polluted.

In order to solve this dilemma, both developed and developing countries' governments should adopt laws to regulate emissions from fossil fuels and encourage citizens to replace these fuels with alternative ones such as solar, water, or wind power. More importantly, local authorities and non-governmental organizations should heighten public environmental awareness through campaigns, for example, taking public transport or cycling instead of driving a car, limiting using noxious chemicals in industry and agriculture. Last but not least, each individual should vehemently protest against behaviors polluting the atmosphere.

In conclusion, air pollution is believed to be one of the most serious issues that humanity has to confront. People should take measures into consideration to prevent from causes of this pollution. This will provide assistance in preserving a clean atmosphere.
